It’s likely you’ve already heard about The Little Mermaid, I mean, how could you not? The live action remake of the 1989 classic film about a fishy princess who wants to be “part of that world” up on the shore has been one of the year’s most anticipated movie releases. Due to drop in cinemas tomorrow, The Little Mermaid has quickly been confirmed as a future classic: combining the guts, gall and glitzy musical numbers of the original with a more contemporary feel and an all-star cast.

Amazing, right? Well, what’s even more amazing is that the woo team was lucky enough to sit down with the film’s co-stars to get to know them a little bit better. Yep, in our latest edition of the video series woo Meets, we got some quality face time with Halle Bailey, who plays Ariel, and Jonah Hauer-King, who plays Prince Eric. The result was a look into these colleagues’ adorable off-screen friendship.

Want to hear something cute? Bailey describes Hauer-King as “a king but plays a prince, very talented, has a beautiful voice” and says he is “so kind, you know when you can tell someone’s really genuine and has a loving heart?” Hauer-King, for his part seems thrilled just to be in Bailey's presence. "This is Halle Bailey! Ahhhh!" He screams at woo. "She's the Little Mermaid! Ahhh! She's great”.

Elsewhere in their convo, the duo tell woo all about their instant friendship and swap first impressions, explore Bailey’s goosebump-inducing love for music, get into Hauer-King’s must-visit sites on a tour of London. Did you know Bailey has never been to a pub? Time to rectify that immediately.
