Sunday evenings; it's a period where we find ourselves simultaneously anticipating the stresses of Monday morning while grieving the freedom of the weekend. Time seems to speed up as the modern cultural phenomenon that is the “Sunday Scaries” kicks in.

That's why we‘re providing an antidote. Every Sunday, we bring you a roundup of the week's ICYMI moments. From the news that might make you feel good, to the TV shows to binge and playlists to get lost in. So read on, and get ready to reclaim your Sunday night!

Dubbed “Summer’s most joyful festival” by The Evening Standard, ‘This Bright Land’ transforms Somerset House’s courtyard into a magical world for visitors to venture into.

Somerset House Studios artists Gareth Pugh and Carson McColl created the festival. Expect attractions like a 35m observation wheel and open-air Vogue Balls, created in collaboration with Vogue Rites, as well as performances, music, dance, talks and workshops, all showcasing creatives and grassroots communities.

Parties hosted by creative collectives will also be an integral part of the festival, and Sunday street parties, aiming to foster and strengthen connection and collaboration.

Burna Boy - Love, Damini

The Afro-fusion innovator and global pop star’s new album does not disappoint. Packed with 19 songs that encapsulate his chaotic inner world, Love, Damini is his most personal project yet, covering topics from love, grief, heartbreak, politics, mental health and love. The album consists of an incredibly diverse line up of features; Ed Shereen, Khalid, J Hus, Kahlani, and Popcaan to name a few. This album does collaborations extraordinarily well.

The most striking collabs can be heard in tracks ‘Glory’ and ‘Love, Damini’, which act as bookends for the album. Both feature the butter smooth vocals from the iconic South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo that will send goosebumps all down your body.

aespa - Girls

The fastest-rising new K-pop group have released their second mini-album, which surpassed 1 million stock pre-orders – the highest number of stock pre-orders ever recorded for a girl group.

Flashes of country seep through in the song ‘Lingo’, showing new levels of experimentation, while every track still gives us the heavy synth beats and strong piercing vocals from the group that we know and love. Aespa have also taken over the metaverse, with avatar versions of the four members. We can’t wait to see where the future takes them – or, perhaps more accurately, where in the future they’ll take us.

EXPLORE LOVE ISLAND ART HISTORY

This hidden gem is a truly great meme page. Established by an art grad “who loves reality telly”, the Twitter account posts stills from Love Island side by side with well known pieces of art.

Kappa and Bureau Borsche have collaborated to release the Venezia FC 22/23 home shirt, which is the first of the most anticipated collections this year. With inspiration from the 90s, this design incorporates contemporary classic football shirts with high fashion. Deep black with clean orange-and-green taping runs along the sleeves and down the sides, true to Kappa style. Gold embellishments of the new club crest and new Città di Venezia city script complete the piece.
