Which woo is our way of getting to the heart of all the feel-good things that bring us joy, excitement and delight. In this series, we sit down with big names across music, film, TV and many more to find out what really moves them and, when it comes down to it, which wellness practice they’d choose when hard pressed.

For this which woo, we meet Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King who play Ariel and Prince Eric in the forthcoming Disney film The Little Mermaid. The movie is the live action remake of the iconic 1989 animated feature and features some of Hollywood’s biggest names playing reimagined versions of the beloved characters from the earlier film.

This includes Melissa McCarthy playing sea witch villain Ursula, Javier Bardem as Ariel’s father King Triton, Clipping’s Daveed Diggs as Sebastian and Awkwafina as fishy friend Scuttle. There’s also new fishy personalities such as Indira, who’s played by Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, as well as an updated soundtrack featuring four new songs.

For musical lovers, it was always going to be one to watch thanks to Bailey’s dulcet tones. However, the film has transcended being 'just' a movie and became a major cultural moment once the trailer dropped, with young Black girls overjoyed to see themselves represented on-screen by someone who looks like them.

As we wait (one more sleep!) for the film to drop in UK cinemas, woo caught up with Bailey and Hauer-King to discuss their favourite wellness activities (scream therapy for fire sign Bailey) and the mutually agreed-upon importance of a digital detox.

The Little Mermaid is in UK cinemas from 26 May.
